However, AMD has previously stated that it has hit DDR4-6400 in tests, so as we said in the intro, the speeds aren’t the highlight of the news. Courtesy of testing by our sister-title WePC, we’ve taken a look at Ryzen 7000 performance, in the shape of the Ryzen 9 7900X and the Ryzen 5 7600X. On Radeon RDNA3 GPUs, you have AI Accelerators (scalar matrix math accelerators), and on Zen 4 there's support for AVX-512, bfloat16, and VNNI. On Ryzen 7040 'Phoenix,' you have Ryzen AI, and a comprehensive hardware feature-set. (Image Credit: AMD) Ryzen 7000 Performance. Some recent slides released by AMD that talk about AI AMD's AI hardware approach seems a bit fragmented. As we suspected would happen, AMD teased its upcoming Zen 4 architecture during its pree-CES livestream last week. As far as we know, Raphael is going to be DDR5 only, while its greatest foe, Raptor Lake, will still use platforms sporting either DDR4 or DDR5 memory. The AMD Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 models are revealed at the company’s August 29 event. AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Zen 4 Raphael ES 16-Core CPUs Seemingly Show Up In The Wild. We last updated our forward-looking AMD Ryzen 7000 technology roundup article just three days ago. In other words, it is confirming an AMD system with DDR5 is being tested. The company also released the Ryzen PRO desktop and mobile Zen 4 processors for the commercial PC market. However, there is a little nugget that appears to confirm this is an AMD system the Bank Cycle Time (tRC) parameter field in CPU-Z’s memory tab (shown in the image above) is replaced by the Row Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC) in the same tool on Intel-based systems. AMD recently launched its Ryzen 7040HS line of mobile processors for thin-and-light notebooks, powered by Zen 4, RDNA 3 graphics, and Ryzen AI. AMD has kicked off a new promotional bundle, its first for the Ryzen 7000 Series of Zen 4 architecture desktop processors. We can’t see what hardware the MSI resident overclocker is using, as this blurry tease reveals nothing about the motherboard, CPU, or memory manufacturer. ![]()
